Archive for the ‘Robert Downey Jr’ Category

Feb 5th, 2011

Several photos from Comic Con 2007 with Gwyneth Paltrow and Robert Downey Jr and their co-stars have been added to the gallery. I’ve also uploaded screencaptures of  Tony Stark in his brief cameo at the end of The Incredible Hulk (2008) and some magazine scans from Cinemag Latin America (please credit this site if you repost them).

Also we’re sporting a brand new look! I’m happy to say we’ll be sticking with this one for as long as we can. Thanks to Nicole for all her help!

I know the Fan Art Archive‘s (aka The Workshop) opening keeps getting delayed, I’m sorry about that. I haven’t had time to install the scripts for it but I’m going to try to get it up and running over the weekend. Oh! Another big surprise is coming up before the end of February so stay tuned!

Congratulations to the Iron Man 2 crew on their Oscar Nomination for Best Visual Effects! Best of luck!

Also, don’t forget to pick up your copy of Invincible Iron Man #500. You won’t be disappointed!

Lastly, I’ve  added several candids of Robert Downey Jr and Gwyneth Paltrow filming Iron Man 2 to the gallery.

Jon Favreau won’t direct Iron Man 3
Dec 16th, 2010

Jon Favreau is not directing Iron Man 3. Favreau reportedly made the decision last week, but it is unsure if his decision was financial, creative or both. Other reports state that Favreau was frustrated with Marvel wanting to include more and more of their characters into the Iron Man series. It is also said that Favreau may have simply been too expensive for Marvel at this point. Favreau made a reported $10 million for Iron Man 2, and with rumors that Disney was looking to cut costs, some have theorized that Disney may have been pushing a confusing and packed vision of the third film as a tactic to provoke Favreau into leaving the project.

Marvel began quietly searching for a new director as of last night, and it should be noted that Robert Downey Jr. has contractual approval over the director of the film. Favreau is still working on two projects for Disney, which are Magic Kingdom and finishing up Cowboys & Aliens.

It has also been confirmed by Jon himself via twitter.

So sad to see him go. He was such an integral part of the Iron Man family and will be missed by all of us.

Hopefully the new director will be as much of shipper as Favs was. Knowing that RDJ has a say on who gets to direct gives me hope, we know he loves Pepper and Tony as much as Jon does.

We’ll be opening the art gallery in the next few days, no time like the present to celebrate our ship.

Small Update
Oct 21st, 2010

Hey everyone! Sorry I haven’t updated in a while. Things have been really busy with university.

I have all the deleted scenes capped, but I mistakenly uploaded the unsorted albums with all the unnecessary caps that didn’t feature Tony or Pepper. So I’m re-uploading the proper folders now.

In the meantime, we have new magazine scans featuring Robert Downey Jr from Russian OK Magazine (special thanks to Debbie for sending those!) and the complete Superhero Girlfriends Photoshoot released by USA today in 2008, which features our very own Pepper Potts aka Gwyneth Paltrow as well as the lovely Liv Tyler (Betty Ross from The Incredible Hulk) and Maggie Gyllenhaall (Rachel from The Dark Knight).

More updates coming soon! Please stay tuned!
